Entrepreneur, renowned philanthropist, and world-class athlete are just a few words that describe the multi-talented, yet completely humble, Edgerrin Tyree James. As President and CEO of Evolving 8 Enterprises, he leads and inspires a team of young and highly motivated individuals who oversee the company's numerous business ventures. Edgerrin's vision for his companies is guided by three core values: loyalty, principle, and sacrifice. Edgerrin firmly believes that if something is to be done, it should only be done the right way.
Indianapolis Colts 1999-2005
Mr. James' ascent to prominence came with a remarkable and distinguished eleven season career as a notable professional player in the National Football League. While attending college at the University of Miami, Edgerrin made his mark as one of the best running backs in the school's history. He continued his legendary start upon entering the pros by winning the AP's Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, as well as becoming the first and only player in NFL history to lead the league in rushing for their first two seasons. Both on and off the field, Edgerrin carries a competitive drive that is contagious to all he comes in contact with. During his illustrious playing career, he achieved notoriety and wealth, but never allowed the fame and fortune to deter him from success. Always striving for more, Edgerrin continues his success outside of football by acquiring various businesses, as well as cultivating his own from the ground up.
Arizona Cardinals 2006-2008
The umbrella company of Evolving 8 Enterprises encompasses many different business ventures that are as wide-ranging as Mr. James himself. “EJ Properties” has been one such driving force, with both commercial and residential real estate being constantly added to his business portfolio. Along with current upstart ventures into the fitness and transportation markets, he has also created his own custom clothing line "Black Lions." Even with his astounding personal success in both the sports and business realm, Edgerrin is simply not content with personal achievements.
Being a man of extreme humility, Edgerrin carries a strong passion for helping others to build a more successful way of life. The Edgerrin James Foundation and Charities continuously works with youth and communities through free football clinics, tutoring, and so much more. Edgerrin also never forgets about the places where he began his rise to the top. He continues his charitable efforts in numerous cities throughout the country, including where he grew up in Immokalee and Orlando and where he played college football - Miami, Florida.
Taking from football both the desire to reach the top and the discipline to realize such aspirations, Mr. James has put into place a superb business model. He firmly believes that the wheel shouldn't be recreated, but rather constantly improved upon. Using this philosophy, Mr. James continues to blaze the trail to establish the base of success.
Family Life
I always wanted to make sure my familywas taken care of. Everything I did was about making sure they had a better life.
Above all of Edgerrin James' many accomplishments, his greatest pride comes from being a father to his six children: Qui, Eyahna, Emani, Eden, Jizzle, and Euro. Fatherhood is his number one priority, and he has dedicated his life to supporting each of his children in their individual pursuits.

- Eden James is following in his father's footsteps as a football star at Howard University.
- Euro James, the youngest, is a senior at Olympia High School.
- Qui James, an attorney and sports agent, graduated from Howard University.
- Jizzle James is a rising basketball star at the University of Cincinnati.
- Emani James is nearing graduation from North Carolina A&T and is an aspiring plastic surgeon.
James takes immense pride in the aspirations of each of his children and is committed to helping them achieve their dreams. He hopes to inspire other fathers to be equally supportive and present in their children's lives, leading by example both on and off the field.
